Cedric and the Two-week Visitors.

One day, the lady brought home two new dogs.  One was tiny and snowball white and the other was large and midnight black.  They were staying for two whole weeks while their mommy was away for military training. "Why do they have to play in my kitchen and family room?" thought Cedric. He barked and growled at them a lot at first. He didn't like them trying to sit on his sofa! After a few days he started to like the little white doggy named Paisley Marie. He even let her sit in a chair beside him.  He didn't start to like Petra Ann until the day she left.  He sort of misses those two happy girls now.  He thinks the next time he sees them he will be glad. 

Cedric has Company

One morning, Cedric heard  a knock on the door. He saw the lady open it and in walked a little white dog. She was very happy and wiggly. She is a Maltese named Paisley Marie. She tried to play with Cedric, but he was very bothered by her playful ways. He tried to be nice when the lady wanted him to be,  but he wasn't very good at it.  He might get to play with her again and he might be able to be nicer since he found out that Paisley Marie did not want to eat his rawhide chews at all.

Cedric and the big red ball

One summer day the lady took Cedric to play near the pool. He saw a very large round thing that he had never seen before. It was incredible! It was huge! It floated dreamily around on the water and, oh, how Cedric wanted that thing! He trembled with excitement whenever he saw it. The lady held him up to it and told him that it was called a 'red ball'. Cedric was very happy that he got so close to it, but it was in the pool and he was very afraid of the water, so he didn't want to get in the pool and chase the red ball. He decided to stay on the ground and bark at it instead.

Cedric and the Halloween Costume

Today Cedric saw a package from a store in the lady's hand. She opened it and out came an Organ Grinder Monkey costume. She was laughing about the little costume. She sat Cedric on the table and put the hat, vest, and pants on him. He could not move because the elastic felt so strange. He didn't know how much fun he was causing! He was so funny- looking dressed as a monkey!  He was glad when the lady took off the outfit.

Cedric and the Haircut

Cedric had tangles in his hair that made it difficult for him to scratch behind his ears. His little claws got caught in the tangles and he got scared and yipped. His mommy tried to comb and brush out the knots, but Cedric didn't like that at all. Once, he ran away and hid when he saw the brush! One day his mommy cut all the long hair off, and got rid of those bad knots. Now Cedric is happy because he can scratch behind his ears, and even run in the tall grass without getting leaves stuck in his hair.

Cedric and the Big White Bathtub

One day Cedric was sitting on the nice cool floor. He was trying to sleep for a few minutes. The lady walked up to him and picked him up. She was saying some things about bathtime. Soon Cedric was in some bubbly warm water. It was horrible. He was scared. He wanted out. Soon he was clean and dry. And then he was happy.

Ceddy's Coiffure

Cedric was quietly sitting on the sofa one day, when the lady suddenly sat bedside him. She was holding a comb and a small bow. She started talking to him with a happy voice. She combed his hair and placed a bow on the top of his head. He felt very unhappy, because he is a little boy. He soon tore out the bow with his little furry paws.
